The Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship has hosted the Round Table “Innovative Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia - Development of Technological and Social Innovations in the Republic of Serbia”. The Round Table was held on October 23 at the “Srbija” Hotel in Belgrade, as a part of the Tenth International Scientific Conference “EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP”. At the same time, the Round Table is a part of the Innovative Serbia project, which is being implemented by the Kruševac Business Incubator in cooperation with the Government of Serbia and the competent ministry.
Goran Lapčević, PhD, has presented the Innovative Serbia project and has reported on the position of Serbia on the international list of countries’ innovations. Serbia is on the 54th place.
- I hope that our today’s Round Table will contribute to Serbia becoming a bit more innovative than it has been till now - said Lapčević, PhD.
Assistant teaching director at the Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship –PEP, Maja Cogoljević, PhD, was pointing out the importance of innovation for the development of the economy.
- Innovations are a vital part of competitiveness in the global economy, finding the topic of this Round Table the most important for the prosperity of the Serbian economy. The key trend on which the progress of the economic sector in Serbia should be based is the development concerning innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises, which represent the most efficient and flexible part of the modern economy, a support of competitiveness and overall economic development - said Cogoljevic, PhD.
The director of the Kruševac Business Incubator, Martina Manojlović, explained that almost 190 companies have been supported in the most important moments of their work so far. She has presented numerous educational activities that have been conducted, as weel as plans for the construction of the Trade Fair in Kruševac in the near future.
In the following phase of the Round Table “Innovative Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia - Development of Technological and Social Innovations in the Republic of Serbia”, four researches on innovations were presented. The scientists from Serbia and the region have participated at the Round Table discussion, and worlwide a large number of experts have followed the event on-line.
